The front view of the new Opel Astra is dominated by the "Vizor", a horizontal design element that incorporates the car's lighting and technological elements in a clean, reduced format. Together with the sharp central crease running vertically across the bonnet, this gives the exterior a clear structure. The rear echoes this cruciform structure with horizontal LED tail lights and a vertical third brake light. Inside, the Astra’s minimalist design gives a calm and uncluttered feel, with two widescreen displays providing information in a structured way. “The Opel Astra convinces with its new, more emotional design, which characterises its contemporary and concise appearance,” said the jury.
