Over the course of its 140-year history, the company has established dependable principles as the basis for its development activities. The product designers took these same foundations as the starting point for the premium dryer, an appliance that unites function, elegance and solidity in an appealing and digital-ready format. One of the product’s finer details is an illuminated touch ring that has been reinterpreted for the digital era and gives the user a real sense of this being a state-of-the-art appliance. The jury emphatically praised the dryer’s “absolute minimalism” and “reduction to the essentials”. Household appliances are often very technical in appearance. This model diverges from that cliché thanks to its smart design and elegant look. When the dryer is switched on, the digital user interface fades in, guiding the user through programs, settings and options in a clear and intuitive way. When switched off, these elements discreetly disappear behind black glass. This tantalising combination of understatement and presence is tantamount to the dryer’s reduced look. The robust dryer door, encircled by a silver ring, further contributes to the quality proposition. “The BOSCH Series | 8 dryer has very balanced overall proportions, and its advanced technology and functions are mirrored in the dedication to detail. Moreover, the styling ensures that the brand identity remains intact despite contemporary modifications,” found the jurors. This model, with its precisely embossed brand logo on an embedded stainless-steel element, making confident reference to its origins, also happens to be an exceptionally quiet, fast and efficient dryer with a noise level of just 59 dB and an A+++ efficiency rating.
