The design of media experiences within one’s own home has gained enormous momentum and also includes the interior lighting design. The Philips Hue Play gradient light tube is a wallwasher whose colour gradients are synchronised with the colours of the TV or monitor. Through an innovative algorithm, it creates lighting effects that are matched to the dynamics of the movie, game or music being enjoyed. The slim aluminium body of the light tube is available in two sizes and optionally in white or black. The fluorescent tube can be easily rotated around its axis to achieve an optimal lighting effect on the wall. It is two-thirds glare-free, so that the indirect lighting is perceived as soft and pleasant and the eyes do not tire. Thanks to its non-slip feet, the wallwasher can be placed under the TV, for example. As part of a product family, the Philips Hue Play gradient light tube can be combined with a light strip on the back of a TV, amongst other things. The device can be controlled via app, remote control or voice control.
