Food packaging waste is one of the top leading contributors to plastic waste in the world. With rising awareness comes a need to address the obvious.

Designed in an effort to discourage plastic packaging, SPI-Z aims to promote zero waste grocery shopping where you can take your own spice jars to get them refilled when necessary. Each of the containers can hold upto 250gms of spice which on an average lasts a person for a month and a half.

With SPI-Z, you can carry your spices for outdoor cooking, spice up a family gathering and go grocery shopping without bringing back a dozen plastic packages.

This design was conceived as part of a classroom project in the National Institute of Design under the guidance of Sweety Taur and Sushan Yumkhaibum in the year 2020.Product development has been put on hold due to COVID.
