A transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) involves inserting an aortic valve replacement into the heart through the artery using a catheter. What is special about the VitaFlow Liberty is that the delivery system is equipped with a motor in the handle, which gives the doctor more control when releasing the aortic valve and withdrawing the catheter. In addition, the tip can be bent by 360 degrees, which helps to avoid damage to the blood vessels. The aortic valve, in turn, has a special design with double layers that lead to an effective valve seal, which reduces the risk of bleeding.
