Over 7 million people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water, with many in impoverished areas deprived of proper water filtration facilities still drinking untreated surface water, which can lead to bacterial infections and diseases. Edrop is a portable water purifier that provides users with clean drinking water at a low cost, quickly, and easily. It is especially suitable for use in impoverished areas where water treatment facilities are scarce, or for regular outdoor activities.

The unique two-way connector is inspired by the shape of an hourglass and fits on most plastic bottle openings. It can be used with two bottles at once without the need for additional accessories or filtration devices. The two-way filter element provides more thorough filtration, and the back-flush function (activated by squeezing the bottle) extends the filter element’s service life. Edrop can quickly provide clean water to a large number of people and can be easily stored for later use.
