This pavilion, the result of a collaborative art and architecture project, serves simultaneously as a shelter and a sculpture. It symbolises clouds floating above a pond that subtly reflects its surroundings. The structure is built of thin yet strong stainless steel. The roofing, constructed with a large circular opening, provides a view of the sky over Seoul, South Korea. From the inside, the “sky” theme is continued with an image by the artist Karel Martens called “Dutch Clouds”, composed of a variety of multicoloured icons.
