Efficiency to perfection
The design of the enz camera nozzle, which is used in manhole and sewer cleaning, follows the design maxim “form follows function”. The aim of the clear, compact design was to fulfil “the most important criteria for the user: efficiency, longevity and cornering ability,” says Christoph Lendi, managing director of the Swiss company enz technik ag. Therefore, 12 high-power LEDs were seamlessly integrated into the camera head with its rounded edge design to provide well illuminated images in an environment exposed to strong vibrations, dirt and splash water. This combination of outstanding cleaning performance with state-of-the-art camera technology takes the daily harsh application routine to a new level. The ability to complete two operations in one pass increases efficiency while reducing environmental impact by conserving fuel and water. The camera has been designed as a fully enclosed system to prevent damage to the sensitive electronic and optical components. Fully sealed, waterproof and made of hardened steel and sapphire glass, the camera nozzle is resistant to shocks and hard impacts. It delivers high-resolution video footage for quality control and documentation in any environment, data that can be effortlessly managed and edited via app and connection to the enz Cloud – and presents itself as a functional, elegantly designed unit that combines sophisticated handling with significantly increased productivity.
