The four books in this set are about four rural communities in Taiwan and their Satoyama-style multi-generational effort at landscape restoration that leverages local traditional culture, modern science, and commerce. "Spring on the Highland" is about Gonglaoping, Taichung. "Farming Village Co. Unlimited" is about Gongrong, New Taipei City. "Letters the Blue Sea Wrote to the Land of Coastal Terraces" is about Fuxing and Xinshe, Hualien. The fourth book, "Shining Herb Village" is about Shangde, Taitung.
