An electric pencil sharpener is typically used for coloured pencils, while a cutter knife is needed for drawing and sketching pencils that require a longer pencil lead. However, using a cutter knife on a daily basis can be difficult and dangerous. Given that all pencil sharpeners function the same way, this design adds a new function to the existing form of electric pencil sharpeners. By adding two simple analogue dials, the redesigned Pencil Sharpener now allows the user to adjust the desired length and sharpness of the pencil lead when they need to sharpen their sketching pencils.
