In the 20th century at the latest, the bathroom has come to be understood as an ex-pression of individual lifestyle. The Viu ceramics range, the XViu furniture range as well as the matching bathtubs have all been created together to present themselves as a complete bathroom range that exudes forward-looking design. Defined as promoting “post-industrial” elegance, the pieces have emerged from the interaction of soft, organic forms with a precise geometry and are complemented by a high level of perfection in the details. In addition, this bathroom series is marked by sharp contrasts that arise from the surface combinations of fine ceramics, glass and me-tal with lacquers and high-quality woods. The focus is on a washing area model that is ba-sed on the patented Duravit c-bonded technology and which offers a lot of user-friendly comfort. The exterior is defined as a strict rectangle, while the interior features gentle organic curves with a spacious inner basin and a generous shelf area. Striking V-shaped me-tal profiles in Champagne Matt or Black Matt shape the characteristic look of the c-bonded me-tal console, vanity units, mirrors, mirror cabinets and free-standing bathtub. Tone-in-tone as well as contrasting options can produce different combinations using a variety of materials. A range of high-quality real-wood, lacquer and decor finishes thus serve to create a wide range of styles from “Silver” to “Dark”.

The Viu ceramics and the XViu furniture ranges impress with their stringently implemented design that unites all elements in a coherent manner and at the same time manages to set stylish accents through contrasting materials. The relation between the me-tal frame and the washbasin element has emerged as a perfect design solution. In addition, the technology integrated in this elegant system is highly functional and very easy to operate.
