A keen eye for detail
It is a real challenge to create an impressive, coherently designed interior within the limited space offered by a business jet. The cabin of the Challenger 3500 succeeds in solving this challenge by taking a holistic design approach that encompasses material selection, styling as well as communication and entertainment technology in order to create a sense of elegance, spaciousness and balance. The roomy feel of the interior has been achieved by paring everything back to the essentials while retaining maximum comfort. Examples of this include the more purist design of the Nuage seats that can nevertheless recline far back and which feature an additional curved leg rest that allows passengers to place their feet beneath the seat, as with an office chair. Inspired by the aircraft’s wings, the “Fluid Angle” design idiom is reflected in every cabin element and creates a sense of continuity and harmony. The minimalist approach can also be seen in the design of the on-board communication and entertainment technology: only the key cabin commands have been retained as a physical interface and subtly integrated into the side panels. Everything else can be conveniently controlled by the passengers via their mobile devices. Great emphasis has also been placed on the use of high-quality yet also environmentally friendly materials for the upholstery and surfaces. These include recycled fabrics, wood alternatives and materials made from natural fibres.

The cabin design of the Challenger 3500 shows an impressive degree of attention to every last detail. The high design standard has been implemented without any compromises, which is reflected as much in distinctive design details as it is in more subtle ways, including the selection of sustainable materials and the outstanding quality of the finish. The result is a business-jet interior that exudes calm and lightness, and which ensures that passengers feel thoroughly comfortable – regardless of whether they are working or relaxing.
