In this age of mobility, both work-related and personal travel have become part of our everyday lives. Frequent travellers, who are experts at making their journeys as easy as possible, recommend travelling light, a principle that Samsonite has anchored into its corporate philosophy. In fact, it is evident throughout the entire Samsonite product portfolio, together with the second brand principle of durability. The Samsonite IBON suitcase reflects the company’s “less is more” design philosophy, delivering not only exceptional convenience but also an innovative travel experience. A non-traditional design makes it immediately evident that this suitcase reinvents the concepts of packing and travelling. Its most distinctive innovation is the transversal split dividing the suitcase body into two separate halves when opened. This construction keeps the contents of the suitcase tidy and makes it unnecessary to unpack everything. A centrally positioned one-point closure system with integrated TSA lock provides fast access to the suitcase interior while on the move and is easy to use. The click-and-compress system ensures secure luggage retention, with divider pads that can be attached to a rail and adjusted as required. A convenient interior handle between the two suitcase halves offers mobility when the open trolley is being packed. The robust exterior shell – in high-quality polypropylene with a scratch-resistant structure – incorporates handles on the long and short sides, as well as handles on the top corners for ergonomic movement of the suitcase when walking up or down stairs. Four all-direction wheels ensure that the suitcase rolls smoothly when pushed or pulled. “The IBON is functional inside and out,” said the enthusiastic jury. “A very intelligent idea has led to the construction of a brand-new piece of luggage. The trolley is strongly user oriented, and the dual compartment design is clever. Another great feature is the closure. Not only is it easy to use it’s also an eye-catching highlight.”
