Niessing’s delicate Topia Vision jewellery line continues this tradition. It features flat, gossamer-like designs in precious metals with a stable, geometric structure. The surface is slightly distorted to dynamically reflect light and create a natural effect that is enhanced by the irregular edges. The surface of the hand-polished metal reflects the light and captures colours from its surroundings. Precious gold is a naturally heavy and compact material, yet in Topia Vision it appears to virtually dissolve, shimmering like a gossamer soap bubble interacting with the ambient light. This piece of jewellery sensually caresses the arm, is expressive and filigree at the same time. Moreover, the playful use of patterns in Niessing’s Topia Vision jewellery line is not only aesthetically appealing, but also highly functional. Although the bangle expands when worn, it always returns to its original shape, making a separate clasp unnecessary.
