Wayfinding system

Rivers were an important transportation li-nk for the ancient towns of the Jiangnan region and played a crucial role in the development of numerous villages and towns. Xitang is a typical water town and has long formed a "misty corridor" along the river with its combination of unique local characteristics and modern development. In designing a wayfinding system for the area, the design team took an in-depth look at the local population, history, and culture of Xitang. The result is a system that integrates the town's four key elements of sun, corridor, water system, and stone steps. The signage arranges and combines those elements to create a set of signs with a clear visual effect that offers a more immersive experience.
