“Our ambition is to lend rooms a subtle elegance with our lighting. Our designs bring an unobtrusive magic into a room and convey the feeling that the place one is in is something special.” With this claim, Delta Light has been designing luminaires united by a reduced, timeless aesthetic since 1989. SHIFTLINE M26 H + SBL continues this tradition and is the result of a fusion of two existing linear lighting systems from the manufacturer – SHIFTLINE M26 H and Tagline. The former is a magnetic profile for surface mounting that can be easily and flexibly fitted – both alternatively and cumulatively – with a variety of pendant and spot modules for direct lighting and with linear LED elements for indirect lighting. Tagline, on the other hand, is an extremely minimalist luminaire that is perceived only as a continuous slender light line. By combining the two systems in one product, a lighting solution has been created that allows accent lighting and general lighting to be used in parallel and independently of each other. The lighting is controlled by DALI, which allows for easy switching between three modes: “all on” to have all light modules including the linear Tagline illuminated at the same time, “only accent” to switch on the magnetic modules and use light to create accents for a cosy atmosphere, and “only general” for a soft general lighting using Tagline. “SHIFTLINE M26 H + SBL stands out as a lighting system that offers an extremely minimalist aesthetic with an architectural approach despite being surface mounted on the ceiling,” said the jury. “Moreover, it is manufactured with a precision down to the smallest detail that makes one think of clockwork. Aesthetically truly beautiful, the understated design combined with the high flexibility of the magnetic SHIFTLINE profile opens up countless lighting possibilities for every conceivable room scenario.” Thus, the linear lighting system is suitable for private households as well as for office environments, for retail or gastronomy and gives every room the very subtle elegance that the manufacturer strives for in its luminaire design.
