Photographers always have a special bond with their camera of choice, interpreting the world through their own visual filters. In this context, designer Makoto Imamizu describes his approach to the innovative technologies and functionality of the Z 9 mirrorless camera as “shapes that are the inevitable result of pursuing practical beauty”. The camera’s design enhances the integration of the camera lens with a line that extends from the mount to the electronic viewfinder, lending it an elegant look. This Nikon camera offers optimised still image and video performance for truly outstanding results. Utilising a newly developed stacked CMOS sensor and a new image-processing engine, the model achieves impressive autofocus performance with the capability to detect the enormous range of nine subject types, as well as 8K UHD/30p video recording of approximately 125 minutes. In addition to a design that eliminates the need for a mechanical shutter, the camera features a number of innovations, including a viewfinder that surpasses the performance of conventional optical and electronic viewfinders by displaying every single moment without skipped frames or loss of view, and a high-flexibility four-axis tilt monitor. It responds to the high demands of professional users active in a wide range of areas and fields of work.
