This project responds to the need for compact furniture facilitating adaptation to the new space. A set of three storage shelves has been created as an answer. It is one of the basic necessities of newly movedin people and, at the same time, the least imposing in its form. Thanks to splitting the furniture, it allows for free manipulation of the floor area depending on the needs or desires. An object increasing or decreasing its volume is then created.
Replacing full walls with open-work ones has reduced the amount of material needed to manufacture the furniture, making it cheaper. The use of wood waste generates further savings and is a pro-ecological activity.Reducing furniture to the simplest form – horizontals and verticals of rung lines, passing through one another – provokes composing them at your own discretion. This reduction allows for maintaining the purity of form, as well as for limiting the manufacturing complexity.Furthermore, I touch upon the aspect of the immaterial sphere. The furniture constitutes in this caseman artifact across the border of fields. Items are to not only serve, but also introduce a zen aura, touching our senses as a sculpture.
