24 Solar Terms is a time-honored way of recording time in China. The tradition emerged in ancient China from people observing the movement of celestial bodies and recording changes in the seasons. The Jieqi Zuoye Journal is a typical solar terms journal book that gives readers an opportunity to study solar term knowledge and keep a diary. The book comes with 12 colored pencils that can be used for coloring the black-and-white line illustrations. The illustrator created nearly 100 illustrations for the 24 solar terms. These images are paired with beautiful texts that guide readers to live in harmony and enjoy the 24 phases of the sun.
