The form of this chair is inspired by the curule chair (lat. Sella Curulis) with X-shaped legs. Curule chairs originated in Ancient Rome and they were a symbol of political power. There is a legend that the first curule chairs were made in gold and given to Julius Caesar.
The design of the armchair—adapted into a stylish, minimal and modern shape—allows it to be used in both private interiors and public spaces like restaurants, libraries and airports. Each module is crafted with thin stainless steel tubes, and both modules are welded around the axis.
