The CureSight system was developed to treat childhood functional vision loss (amblyopia) by replacing the wearing of an eye patch with a digital form of treatment. It uses eye-tracking technology and image-processing algorithms to train the weak eye while the child watches streamed content in the comfort of the home environment. The design aims to give the device a modern, technoid look that children perceive as cool and that encourages their self-confidence. The casing, which widens towards the bottom, not only accommodates the technology but also ensures a stable stand and a striking shape.
