Wind goes through Urban gap
SOHO architecture
Rethinking the architectural form for the SOHO (small office/home office) building on Zhongxiao East Road: The site is in Taipei’s central business district. The front faces one of the busiest and noisiest streets with a quiet alley in the back. Because the footprint was very narrow—only 27 meters long and 9 meters wide—ventilation, lighting, and functionality were challenging in terms of space. The designers constructed the front façade to provide privacy and minimize sound pollution while taking advantage of the quiet lane in the back to create green outdoor spaces.
